Director's Message

Since its inception in 2001, L. J. Institute of Management Studies has been envisioned as a key player in management education and professional development by promoting creativity, scholarship, innovation and excellence. For realization of its vision the Institute is guided by its Quality Policy which prompts all stakeholders to strive for perfection within limits. The Institute also has the responsibility of coordinating the MBA programmes of L. J. Institute of Computer Applications (2007) and L. J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (2008). All these constitute the brand LJMBA pursuing common policies, systems and processes, and sharing common values and resources.

The students joining the Institute's MBA programme are treated as Management Trainees. Change is the key for the learners to achieve their respective objectives. A basic attitudinal change is required - from (1) subject (of the British Empire) to citizen (of free India), (2) just examination passing to skill-acquisition (learning by doing), (3) from one-sided development of personality to all round development of personality (physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual).
MBA is primarily a skill-oriented programme with greater emphasis on acquisition of necessary skills. Skills can be acquired by doing, and can be taught by making the learners do things. At LJMBA we try to build our youth for the future believing that no human is worthless (ayogyah purusho naasti). Keeping these in view, the institute has put in place a number of systems and processes and created some unique facilities. Further, the Institute's programmes and processes ensure that the learners imbibe values and attributes which are crucial for successful career. Special emphasis is laid on honesty, discipline, sincerity, punctuality, conceptual clarity, critical thinking, practical knowledge, effective soft skills, innovativeness and ethical concern. In the ultimate analysis, it is the learner who learns. The institute facilitates and guides with all its resources and facilities and with the entire gamut of its student support mechanism.
